Meet the Team
Lauren Martin
I'm Lauren Martin, the director of Cool Aunt Creatives, and I'm thrilled to introduce you to our Cool Aunt Jr programming. With a background in landscape architecture and a specialization in environmental psychology and playground design, I bring an educational perspective to our camp experiences. As a dance teacher, however, I understand the importance of movement, creative expression, and most importantly, fun in child development.
My passion for the outdoors and adventure has always been a big part of my life, especially when performing my Cool Aunt duties with my even cooler niece and nephew. Over the years, I've had the joy of coordinating and instructing nature and crafts camps in other cities, where I've seen firsthand the impact these experiences can have on children.
In Guelph for the summer of 2024, I'm excited to bring these experiences to life at Cool Aunt Jr Summer Camp. Join me for a summer filled with creativity, exploration, and unforgettable memories!

Hi, I'm Bailey! I'm a student at the University of Guelph, where I'm also a proud member of the football team. Growing up, outdoor summer camps were where I made some of my most cherished memories, and now, I'm thrilled to inspire kids to learn, grow, and have fun just like I did.
I'm passionate about creativity and the outdoors, and I can't wait to share my love for nature with others. From hiking and kayaking to water skiing, outdoor adventures are where I feel most alive. Hey there, I'm Antonio! With a background as a full-time lifeguard and a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Niagara College, safety and wellness are always my top priorities.
Sports have always been a big part of my life, from playing on the basketball team at Niagara College to being an avid basketball player today.
In my role as a funcle, I've mastered the art of being incredibly silly while ensuring everyone's safety. I can't wait to bring my energy and passion for fun to Cool Aunt Jr Summer Camp!
2024 summer camp
July 15-19 | Enchanted Forest camp
Step into a world of wonder and magic at our Enchanted Forest camp! Designed for ages 5-12, this 5 day adventure is all about fostering an appreciation for the environment, kindness, and courage. Through a blend of nature exploration, storytelling, and creative activities, campers will embark on a journey of discovery.
Each day, campers will immerse themselves in the enchanting surroundings of Riverside Park, where they'll learn to identify flora and fauna, explore sustainability practices, and uncover the secrets of the forest. Guided by experienced instructors, campers will participate in hands-on activities like crafting with natural materials, wildlife observation, and interactive games that promote teamwork and creativity.
Our goal is to inspire a love for nature and instill important values that will stay with campers long after the week is over. Join us at the Enchanted Forest camp for a week filled with adventure, friendship, and the magic of the great outdoors!
JULY 29 - August 2 | Wild Safari Camp
Embark on a thrilling adventure to distant lands with our Wild Safari camp! Geared towards ages 6-10, this week-long expedition is all about igniting wonderment for other cultures and the wilderness. Set against the backdrop of Riverside Park, campers will immerse themselves in a safari-themed experience like no other.
Throughout the week, campers will delve into the wonders of the natural world, learning to identify flora and fauna, and honing wilderness survival skills. Led by experienced instructors, campers will engage in interactive activities such as wildlife observation, cultural storytelling, and games that promote teamwork and discovery.
Our aim is to cultivate a sense of curiosity and respect for different cultures and environments, all while fostering new friendships and unforgettable memories. Join us at Wild Safari camp for a week filled with excitement, exploration, and the spirit of adventure!
August 12-16 | Mythical Creatures camp
Uncover the mysteries of ancient creatures and lost worlds at our Magical Discoveries camp! Designed for ages 6-10, this enchanting week-long adventure is all about sparking imagination and appreciation for history. Set amidst the natural beauty of Riverside Park, campers will embark on a journey of discovery and creativity.
Throughout the week, campers will delve into the realms of dinosaurs and other ancient creatures, learning to identify flora and fauna from prehistoric times. Led by experienced instructors, campers will engage in hands-on activities such as crafting ancient artifacts, exploring dinosaur habitats, and participating in interactive games that promote teamwork and critical thinking.

August 19-23 | Time Travelers' Camp
Embark on an epic journey through time with our Time Travelers' camp! Designed for ages 8-13, this thrilling week-long adventure is all about exploring history, culture, and the wonders of the past. Set against the backdrop of Riverside Park, campers will step back in time to discover ancient civilizations, legendary figures, and forgotten worlds.
Throughout the week, campers will engage in hands-on activities that bring history to life, from crafting artifacts to reenacting historical events. Led by experienced instructors, campers will delve into different time periods, learning about the customs, traditions, and innovations of the past.
